About the project

Like a growing number of organisations in New Zealand, Te Papa Tongarewa decided that the benefits of modern web architecture justified rebuilding two of their websites without making major design or content changes.

Their website houses a large amount of content and collections and is a significant resource for locals and international visitors alike.

By keeping as much of the existing site “as is” during the project, it is possible to move quickly and reduce complexity.

The flexibility of DatoCMS means that Te Papa's digital team are able to continue to iterate and improve the site with regular updates.
