About the project
Webcore developed the new official website for Shopping Recife, one of the most important retail destinations in the Northeast of Brazil. The goal was to deliver an integrated, user-centered digital experience that makes it easier for visitors to explore stores, cinema listings, restaurants and events with intuitive navigation.
The challenge
To redesign the website of a large shopping center into a fast, intuitive, and accessible digital platform, capable of organizing a high volume of dynamic content and integrating multiple services such as cinema schedules, store information, events, and accessibility tools — all while ensuring a seamless experience across devices.
Outcome
Content-driven architecture: a flexible CMS setup designed to manage and scale complex content.
Integrated digital platform: seamless connections between content, services, and real-time integrations.
Accessible and scalable experience: a modern website built for clarity, performance, and growth across devices.
Technologies and Tools
Using DatoCMS as a headless CMS, Webcore implemented a content-driven architecture that centralizes the management of a large volume of information while supporting integrations with multiple digital services. The platform was designed to scale, remain flexible over time, and deliver a consistent experience across devices. Key benefits included:
Content-driven architecture: DatoCMS enables structured content modeling, making it easier to organize stores, events, cinema schedules, and institutional content in a scalable way.
Simplified content management: The editorial team can update and maintain content efficiently through the CMS, without relying on technical support for day-to-day changes.
Integrated digital services: The website connects seamlessly with external APIs and services, including integration with Salesforce, allowing dynamic content updates such as cinema listings, events, and store information. Store data is automatically synchronized via API, made available in DatoCMS for editorial management when needed, and published dynamically on the website.
Responsive and scalable experience: The frontend was built to ensure consistent performance across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, supporting future growth and new features.
Accessibility: Inclusive tools and accessibility features were implemented to improve access for diverse audiences and reinforce the platform’s commitment to digital inclusion.
