NIRAS needed a modern website that could present complex scientific information in a clear and structured way, across four language domains.

Wieni delivered a full design and UX process, a Next.js and TypeScript frontend, and a DatoCMS setup with modular content blocks that editors can manage independently. The platform supports a multilingual setup across four separate domains (NL, FR, DE, EN) and includes a news and documentation library with downloadable reports, maps, and progress updates. Third-party integrations include Flexmail for newsletter subscriptions, Cookiebot for cookie consent, and GA4 for analytics.

Since its launch in 2025, niras.be has become the central information hub for radioactive waste management in Belgium — helping NIRAS publish research, document progress, and engage citizens through clear, factual communication.
